Comcast Bite of Seattle® Offers Flavors and Fun for All This Weekend

The Comcast Bite of Seattle® presented by Emerald Queen Casino has a little something for everyone beginning this Friday, July 17, and running through Sunday, July 19. The Bite brings with it a variety of food, attractions and entertainment to Seattle Center for guests of all ages.

With over 50 restaurants, more than 40 food product companies, five outdoor beer gardens and a win-tasting exhibit, your taste buds will be busy all weekend tasting the wide variety of flavors of the Northwest.  A new feature now allows guests to have all the flavor without the guilt! The year the Hope Heart Institute sponsors the Hope Heart Right Bite. Each restaurant will feature a Hope Heart Right Bite menu item that is a healthier option with lover fat, calories or sodium than other items on their menu.

Guests can also eat for a worthy cause with the return of The Alley hosted by Tom Douglas sponsored by Painted Hills Natural Beef. 14 of Seattle’s premier restaurants serve up their best for Food Lifeline, Washington’s largest hunger relief organization feeding more than 560,000 starving people around Western Washington. For just $10, visitors will receive a taste from each of the seven restaurants participating daily and a share of all proceeds from The Alley will go directly to Food Lifeline. Look for the large yellow donation boxes with Food Lifeline volunteers standing nearby to contribute to this worthy cause.

On a budget? No problem! Admission to the Bite is free and the return of Just a Bite! makes the weekend more affordable. Just a Bite! offers smaller portions from six Seattle restaurants for only $3.75. Guests can try more and spend less.

The Bite also offers a lot more than just delicious flavors. Entertainment and attractions are plentiful throughout the weekend. The Bite features five outdoor beer gardens and a wine tasting attraction promoting nine West Coast wineries. Consumers can pay $6.50 and receive two tastes and a souvenir wine glass. Additional tastes are $2 each.

Join host Thierry Rautureau at The Bite Cooks! presented by Comcast and RedPlum and enjoy cooking and pairing demonstrations as 18 celebrity chefs and three sommeliers show off their favorite dishes.

Enjoy some of the best in local entertainment at the fir outdoor entertainment stages. From country to jazz and everywhere in between, there’s something for every musical taste. The Bacardi Comedy Club sponsored by Jack FM will keep you laughing all weekend long with acts from both established regional and up-and-coming comedians. The Radio Disney Family Fun Zone, sponsored by Shishkaberry’s® offers fun got children of all ages including the Reptile Man and his amazing animals! Children can come play games and win great prizes.

Want to become part of the act? Comcast will have film crews on-site to tape Dating On Demand profiles. Interested attendees can stop by the Dating On Demand booth to tape a free profile. Get a chance at fame and try to be in an upcoming Comcast TV commercial by entering The Comcast Town Sing-Along Challenge. End the weekend by taking a stroll through the artisan and commercial booths to check out with local vendors are offering this year. Over 75 artisan and commercial booths feature locally-made and imported products such as jewelry, photography, clothing, metalwork and more.

Getting to the festival is made easy with the many options provided by Seattle and Seattle Center. Guests can drive, ride their bike, carpool, ride Metro, take the Sound Transit light rail, the monorail, taxi or Seattle Streetcar.
