Bite of Seattle® Right Bite Press Release
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
June 23, 2009
The Hope Heart Right Bite Returns to the Comcast Bite of Seattle ®
The Comcast Bite of Seattle ® is dedicated to providing a variety of foods, allowing guests to experience the wide culinary range of the Seattle food scene. The Hope Heart Right Bite extends that experience by including a healthier menu option from each participating restaurant. This supports a healthy lifestyle while showcasing great flavors from local restaurants.
Each restaurant will offer a Hope Heart Right Bite item on its menu including vegetarian, low-fat and reduced-calorie items. Some restaurants will modify existing menu items to provide healthier choices. Restaurants will designate Hope Heart Right Bite Items at their booths with the Hope Heart Right Bite logo, a heart-shaped apple, to show costumers their healthiest choice.
Restaurants at the Bite are getting creative with their Hope Heart Right Bite dishes by cooking up something new or making healthy changes to a classic. They will offer plenty of delicious options for visitors who want to taste Seattle’s best food while maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
One featured Hope Heart Right Bite comes from Chutney’s Grill: tandoori chicken salad. Another exciting choice is lemon pepper steak from Outback Jack’s Australian BBQ. Gyros! Gyros! Gyros! Will offer vegetarian and vegan gyros, and Klassique Kollection is serving up apple pecan slaw with vinaigrette. Ballard Brothers Seafood & Burgers spices things up with it’s wild Cajun blackened salmon fillet sandwich, and California Pizza Kitchen takes it up another notch with Tuscan hummus served with warm pita bread. All Hope Heart Right Bite items are healthier compliments to other menu items.
The Hope Heart Right Bite dishes will be judged in a separate category and one restaurant will receive the honor of “Best Right Bite.”
These tasty, healthy options will be available at all the restaurant booths throughout Seattle Center during the Bite. For more information, visit www.biteofseattle.com
